DAVID M. PARKS

David M. Parks is a shareholder of the Firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of business law and commercial litigation. Mr. Parks is a 1981 graduate of Baylor University Law School, and a 1979 graduate of Baylor University, where he received his B.B.A. degree. Mr. Parks is a member of the Sections on Construction and Business Law of the State Bar of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Arlington Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Mr. Parks is honored to have received an AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating assigned by that company for ethical standards and legal ability as evaluated by our peers in the legal profession.

J. RICHARD MCVAY

J. Richard McVay is a shareholder of the Firm and practices in the areas of individual, partnership, and corporate law, estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate. Mr. McVay is a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, and a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech University Graduate School where he received the degree of Master of Business Administration. Mr. McVay earned his B.B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980. He is a past president, director, and current member of the Arlington Bar Association, is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas Sections on Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law. Mr. McVay is also a member of Rotary International, past President of Arlington Sunrise Rotary, and has previously served on several other local charitable boards, including Restore Hope and the Arlington YMCA and Women’s Shelter.  Mr. McVay is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. McVay is honored to have received an AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating assigned by that company for ethical standards and legal ability as evaluated by our peers in the legal profession.

ROBERT P. SHEPARD

Robert P. Shepard is a shareholder of the Firm, concentrating his practice in general corporate matters, business law, real estate, banking, construction law, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation. Mr. Shepard also serves as the firm’s fee attorney and escrow officer. Mr. Shepard obtained a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980, and his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1983. Mr. Shepard is currently an at-large elected member of the Arlington City Council and serves as Mayor Pro Tempore. He is an active member of several community organizations, including being past Chairman of the Business Development Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past Co-Chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Executive Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Board of Directors of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, current member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Corporate Leadership Council, past Chairman of the Mid-Cities Entrepreneurship Council, past Chairman of the City of Arlington Planning and Zoning Commission, past member of the City of Arlington 1999 Citizens Bond Election Committee, a past member of City of Arlington Subdivision Rewrite Committee, a member of the Central Sector Planning Committee for the City of Arlington, past member of the Board of Directors of Downtown Arlington, Inc., past President of Downtown Arlington, Inc., and a member of the Rotary Club of Arlington, Texas.  Mr. Shepard is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Arlington Bar Association, and the Sections on Business Law and Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law of the State Bar of Texas.  Mr. Shepard is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.  Mr. Shepard is honored to have received an AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating assigned by that company for ethical standards and legal ability as evaluated by our peers in the legal profession.

MEG CARRELL WELLS

Meg Carrell Wells is a shareholder of the Firm and concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate lending, and real estate law. Ms. Wells is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she received her B.B.A. degree in Marketing in 1980, and her Juris Doctor degree in 1984. She is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law and Residential Real Estate Law, and a member of the Section on Real Estate, Probate and Trust Lawof the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Wells is involved in various civic and charitable organizations, including the Rotary Club of Arlington.
